
Christmas Past
December 20, 2009Our intrepid fellow drags himself back to the microphone and summons up some recollections of Christmas as it was in the days of his childhood. Not only that, he’s been out & about again with his binaurals, this time on a shopping trip to the local marketplace. This part of the episode is not as accomplished as he would wish – due to there being a bit of a tussle with fucking Audacity, the thing misbehaved and not all of the intended edited clips survived into the finished product. ‘Tant pis……’

Ah, yes…a sense of longing and loss definitely attends me this time of year as well. There are some carols I just cannot bring myself to listen to at my advanced age. And no holiday lights anywhere around the old abode. I don’t miss anything about it except my beloved family members who are now departed. I just keep my head down and plod along until spring. But I’m not sorry about it one bit. Bah, Humbug!

For some reason, the death of my Mom is hitting me this year. She passed on 12/29/06 and now the holidays are bitter-sweet.
